After the blur of wedding planning, the actual wedding, and then the honeymoon I bet you are probably ready to not have anymore wedding to dos, but there is one very important thing left to do, write your wedding thank you cards.  Etiquette dictates that this is done within 3 months of when you receive the gift, but the sooner the better.  Also, it is important that it is a handwritten note, if you want to include photos that is great, but be sure to include a personal note as well.  In order to tackle this daunting task I set a goal for myself of writing five thank you cards a day, I did this while catching up on my favorite housewives.

First Who You Need to Write a Thank You Card to:

  1.  Anyone who got you a gift
    • Separate thank you cards should be written for the shower & the wedding present
  2. Anyone who hosted a event or shower for you
  3. Your parents
  4. Anyone who hosted out of town guests for you
  5. Anyone who attended the wedding
    • This one is up for debate, but especially consider writing a thank you if they had to travel for your wedding
  6. Attendants
  7. Vendors
    • Vendors who did a great job to make your day special or alternatively consider writing them a positive review on Yelp or Theknot.com
